About Kate and Andy
Andy and Kate have long debated where they first met. It was either in a strawberry field or a sweaty London nightclub, you can guess whose memory is whose. They became friends for life over the course of four Glastonbury Festivals, particularly 2011 - an especially good vintage.  Their connection deepened when they were both travelling solo in South East Asia in 2015 and romance blossomed at the Winter Solstice 2016 once they both lived in Bristol. Andy popped the question in January 2020 in Sri Lanka on a beach (planned) and during a lunar eclipse (unplanned) and she said yes!

Please park at the end of Mina Road or earlier as Boiling Wells Lane is very narrow.

The venue is outside the Bristol Clean Zone. But, if you drive into the centre, you may be charged. https://www.bristol.gov.uk/residents/streets-travel/bristols-caz
Montpellier and Stapleton Road are the closest local stations, both being a 20mins walk from the venue. Trains run semi-regularly from Bristol Temple Meads, for those coming further a field.  Give yourself time as local trains often run late (you're not in London anymore).
Uber and Bolt are available in Bristol.

Please park at the end of Mina Road or earlier as Boiling Wells Lane is very narrow.
Megabus and National Express are the cheapest ways to get from London and other cities.

Both stop in Bristol Coach Station (BS1 3NU), a 30min walk to the venue. (Don't do what Alex did and end up in Wales!)

The number 70 bus will take you from Sefton Park Road to Haymarket, which is then a 3min walk away.
Bristol Airport is a 30min taxi away, costing about £30.

Heathrow is a 2hr drive away. There is a direct coach from Heathrow to Bristol and a train via London Paddington.

Boiling Wells is a magical 2.5 acre, off-grid woodland, food forest and conservation site set into a hill in the heart of St. Werburgh's, Bristol.

The site is fully contained and so perfect for free-range children.

As well as the amphitheatre, fairy huts, fires and outdoor kitchen with pizza oven, there are many winding paths to explore.

Boiling Wells is owned by St Werburgh's City Farm, which is 3mins from the venue and offers free entry to see the animals.

Accessibility
This is very much an outdoor experience, be prepared for weather, composting toilets and some uneven paths. The main areas and toilets are accessibility friendly.  Please do let us know if you have any questions.

Dress

In keeping with our boho solstice wedding, we would love to see guests adorned in as many flowers as possible.

We invite you to love your feet and leave your high heels behind. The paths are woodchip or bare earth, set onto a hill and can be muddy at times. The bride will be wearing flats. Dancing around the fires barefoot is encouraged for those inclined.

There is shelter throughout the venue however the ceremony will be open air. Please bring umbrellas and weather-dependent clothing if needed.

Although it is the longest day it will be cool in the evening and an extra layer is advised. These can be left in one of the shelters during the day.

Neighbourhoods

St Werburgh's is where the venue is. It is great to walk around in, and it has the farm.
Stoke's Croft has a lot of cafes, bars and clubs. It is lovely in the day but can be a bit rough and ready at night.
St George has a great park and lots of cafes and pubs.
St Nicholas's Market is the old town and has markets, drinks and eats.
The Harbour has a museum, gallery and cinema as well as drinks and eats. Or, if the weather is fine is good for drinking tinnies while looking out over the water.
Clifton is the posh/student area with lots of pretty buildings and the suspension bridge nearby.

Kate & Andy's Wedding

Your presence is present enough! We feel truly blessed to have you with us.

But if you wish to support us as we move into the next chapter, financial contributions towards our home and honeymoon would be most helpful. Recommendations on how you think we should use any gifts are welcomed!

We hope to go to France for the honeymoon (Andy has never been, mon dieu!). We will start in Paris, visiting La Louvre, Musée Marmottan Monet and La Tour Eiffel. We hope to enjoy cafes and sunflower fields as we travel south, ending on the French Riviera.
